These 2017 Bollywood Movies Are The Ones I’m Most Excited To Watch & You Gotta See The List – QUICK!

Haseena Parkar

Whether you like it or not, you will have to agree that the first half of 2017 has been n appauling season of Bolywood movies – which I’m pretty disappointed about as I’m a huge B-townie fan.None of the superstars have delivered the expected blockbusters, with Salman Khan and Kabir Khan‘s partnership failing with Tubelight and the first project of Shah Rukh Khan and Imtiaz Ali being ridiculed by most people. Even the early releases like RaeesKaabil and Jolly LLB 2 did not really make a mark at the box office. What seems to be going wrong?

Anyway, here’s my list of the films I cannot wait to watch.

Dharma Productions seems to be getting the biggest numbers as rom-com Badrinath Ki Dulhania did do extremely well and of course Bahubali 2 did the same. Films like Mom, Trapped, Lipstick Under My Burkha and The Death In The Gunj have made profits, but still hasn’t caught that much attention at the box office.

We still have time to make BIG moves, directors! With just four more months left for 2017 to get over, I’m looking at the films I’m particularly interested in watching and to be honest Bollywood needs to step up the game, isn’t that right B-townies?

Haseena Parkar

Why is this first on my list? Because I’m eagerly waiting to see Shraddha Kapoor kill it as Haseena Parkar. The Apoorva Lakhia project sees Shraddha playing the role of Dawood Ibrahim‘s sister (played by her real life brother Siddhanth Kapoor).

Judging from the film’s trailer, it’s evident that the actress has worked hard on this role, and it looks like a completely different avatar, one which she hasn’t really played before. That’s why I’m cheering for this movie.

Tiger Zinda Hai

Pls instantly welcome on insta The Tigeress Zinda hai @katrinakaif

A post shared by Salman Khan (@beingsalmankhan) on

Tiger Zinda Hai is meant to be one of the biggest hits this year(Salman and Katrina film I see). But not only that it seems everyone wants to watch the duo together. The film is a sequel to the 2012 blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger, it stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif and it’s directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, whose previous film was Sultan.

Padmavati

Do the work

I’m most excited to watch this one. After Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s magnum opus Bajirao Mastani, all of the India plus me (except some parts of Rajasthan I think) is curious to see what he’ll do with the story of Rani Padmavati.

The movie has the beautiful Deepika Padukone playing Padmavati, the amazing Shahid Kapoor play her husband Rana Rawal Ratan Singh and the hottie Ranveer Singh playing the antagonist Alauddin KhiljiAditi Rao Hydari is Ranveer’s wife in this one. Eagerly waiting!

Ittefaq

Based on the 1969 film of the same name. Ittefaq is a murder mystery starring Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha. It also has Akshaye Khanna playing an important role.

Secret Superstar

If it’s an Aamir Khan film it will surely be a blockbuster. Plus, this one stars the adorable Zaira Wasim, who played the young Geeta Phogat in last year’s hit hit, Dangal.

Chef

Jon Favreau‘s  comedy drama Chef is getting a desi remake starring Saif Ali Khan. Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, whose Airlift was one of the biggest hits last year. Chef looks pretty interesting.

I love food so this one is surely gonna be one of those films I’m like ‘yep I like this one’. (By the way have you seen me eating Gol Gappay watch here.

Judwaa 2

Just a bunch of crazy people here. Sun,sea and rain ☔️ we have it all #judwaa2 #mauritius

A post shared by Varun Dhawan (@varundvn) on

A remake/sequel of the ’90’s hit, Judwaa 2 promises to be entertaining, directed by David Dhawan and starring Varun Dhawan.Varun is surely gonna have to nail it because he’s stepping into the shoes of Salman Khan – deliver it Varun. You got this!

It also has Salman making a cameo appearance, oooooh.

Simran

Simran

Simran is a kleptomaniac, who also loves gambling and happens to be a divorcee. She is played by Kangana Ranaut and the film is directed by Hansal Mehta.

The trailer of Simran was released yesterday and most people think this will be another gem by Kangana. Not really my type of film but lets see.

Baadshaho

From Kachche Dhaage to Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, all these films have been entertaining according to all of you guys watching. But will Baadshaho become a hit hit? Joining Ajay Devgn in this Emergency era based thriller are Emraan Hashmi, Illeana D’Cruz, Esha Gupta and Vidyut Jammval.

A Gentleman

A Gentleman, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez looks like a fun action, adventure starring two very good looking people in wonderful locations.  It’s a sequel to the 2014 hit Bang Bang!

Bareilly Ki Barfi

A love triangle starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon, directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, and written by Nitesh Tiwari, the director of Dangal – Bareilly Ki Barfi looks like it’s gonna be a hilarious watch.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha

A comedy directed by Shree Narayan Singh and starring the hilarious Akshay Kumar and the post-weight loss Bhumi PednekarToilet: Ek Prem Katha seems to be the movie to watch out for. Not something I’d watch normally but I will be watching this.

The story of the film is similar to a true event where 19-year old Priyanka Bharti fled her husband’s home in 2012, because there was no toilet. Akshay is known for his hilarious dialogues and Bhumi has shown a massacre of talent in her previous hits.

In case I’ve missed any one of YOUR favourite films, let me know in the comments and I hope this has helped you find a movie your eagerly waiting to watch ❤
